Maria is the Chief Financial Officer for Conservation Resources, overseeing finance, treasury and tax functions for all of the firm’s investment activities. She also sits on the firm’s Management and Investment Committees. Maria brings over twenty years’ of accounting, finance and audit experience to Conservation Resources. She joined Conservation Resources in 2026 from the Baupost Group, where she held senior accounting and finance roles for eleven years. Earlier in her career, Maria served in accounting and finance roles at Manulife, Paul McCoy Family Office Services and PricewaterhouseCoopers. She has a B.Sc. in Business Administration and a M.Sc. in Accounting from Northeastern University. Maria is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder. She is a member of the American Society of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the CFA Society Boston.
